I judge a restaurant by its clam chowder and I absolutely LOVED LOVED LOVED yours. It was the best I have ever eaten. I want to return for another bowl tomorrow and could eat that daily for the rest of my life. THANK YOU!
My whole experience, from start to finish, was awesome! It started, appropriately, by word of mouth from a friend. She had suggested we meet there for breakfast. We met at 10 am on a Saturday. The wait time passed quickly before we were seated. The feeling was super cozy, and still decorated with fun, quirky holiday sayings placed through out. In the diverse menu, I was pleased to find that breakfast is served all day and that they had my favorite, biscuits and gravy...which I think they should rename to "Biscuits and Heavenly Goodness". The serving was extremely generous. I had my fill and there was still plenty to take home for left overs...and all with out breaking the bank. I can't wait to go back for more Biscuits and heavenly goodness and try the cinnamon swirl pancakes with friends and family. Thank you WOM for being my new favorite place to eat breakfast.
It was my birthday today and I couldnt think of any place to eat, so we used Urban Spoon. W.O.M. popped up and I then remembered a friend telling me how amazing it was when she was there. On a whim, we came in! It was hard to choose because everything looked amazing! My husband got the beef and buffalo burger with all the fixin's and LOVED it! I got the Rachel Turkey Sandwich and a side of Clam Chowder...so so so good!
I love clam chowder and taste it at every restaurant that serves it even if I don't order it and it is in my top 3 favorites. I wish I would have gotten a To-Go bowl for dinner :) We will be back over and over and over again....and we'll bring friends :)
Word of Mouth is the BEST! The value of their food and service puts every other eatery I've ever been to to shame. The quality of WOMB forces the "fancy" restaurants I've been to to look like Jack in the Box in comparison. And the prices are totally worth every bite. Today, I went there with my boyfriend and we had our favorite, The Flying Biscuit with extra gravy, Effing Fantastic!!! The people there are great too. Kelsi Jo was just the sweetest server ever, she made our experience even more enjoyable than it usually is, she's a keeper Word of Mouth! Keep up the great work you guys, don't you dare change one bit.
Please, please dont ever close! You have the best food ever. Nice to finally find a comfortable place with fresh ingredients, pleasant atmosphere and reasonable prices. I cannot comment on just one menu item they were all so good.
Thanks to word of mouth, I heard of an upcoming Word of Mouth anniversary special on CB French Toast. The inclusion of Super Bacon had my morning plans committed - I was driving to Salem! (From Corvallis) Circling the block, I had an inking I wasn't the only breakfast lover in town. Even the wait could not deter me! When the waitress kindly sat me at a table for 4, I insisted the space be better used for more people & I happily sat at the bar. Orange juice, delicious; scrambled eggs, bright & perfectly fluffy; Bacon, omg bacon, magic bacon, cooked to bacon lover perfection; Cremè Brulee French Toast just tipped the advantage completely your direction. All future breakfasts will be held to your incredibly high standards. And fail.

To my surprise, the day I invited a friend from Dallas to try the breakfast, the special was the Creme Brulie French Toast. I had seen your video and really wanted to try it. It was sooooo good, I intend to have it again, AFTER the Reuben, and the hash, and the, the, the. I hope I live long enough to try EVERYTHING on the menu at least once. It is really worth the wait.
Ok, wow. Let\\\'s just talk about breakfast for a second. Usually breakfast joints have your normal stuff like pancakes and eggs and meats, and sometimes good french toast or crepes. But it's all the same. This place, is worlds above. The crem brulee french toast is AMAZING!!!! I had the "plate o' love" which came with that amazing french toast and also their corned beef hash. This is certainly the best breakfast I have EVER had from a restaurant. It just might be the best place I've eaten at in Salem, including lunch and dinner places. Plus, the waitress heard it was our first time, so she let us sample the clam chowder....better than any seafood "known for their chowder" places I've ever been too. Seriously. All these reviews are right.
We want the World to know how wonderful and amazing the food is at word of mouth bistro. Becky is great, and all of the servers make us feel special, like one of the family. Every time we are lucky enough to be in town and have a meal, it leaves us satisfied but with a craving and anticipation of our next visit.
Wow...Plate O' Love! I've eaten breakfast in 45 states and 17 foreign countries...no bull or exaggeration! Word of Mouth in Salem Oregon knocked my socks off! The Creme Brulee French Toast...my God! Even if you're an atheist you'll say..."My God!" The corned beef hash...totally galactic! I'm going back tomorrow and hoping the brunette bartender is there! I even had that jacked seat at the bar with lemons, limes and olives in my face and once I started eating I forgot where I was! I'll be back!
OMG!! My in-laws have missed church a time or three, just to visit this little bistro. My husband and I visited to see what all the fuss was about! WOW.. I am a fan of \\\"from scratch " cooking, and practice it daily. It's very seldom you find a treasure such as WoM who make great food without added junk. The servers are wonderful, service is ALWAYS booming and the 45 minute wait is well worth the fabulous taste! With huge portions, reasonable pricing and delicious home cookin' it\s a wonder this place isn't a franchise yet. Maybe that's what's so magical about it. Out of 5 stars, I give you 10! Bless you!
